Hinton Optimal Wellness was founded by Michelle Hinton APRN-FPA three years ago when COVID hit. She was working in primary care at the VA hospital, but they were forced to turn people away during the pandemic. She had always been interested in natural approaches to healthcare and decided to create her own practice. She focuses on providing patients with a personalized wellness plan to address the imbalances holding patients back. Her specialty areas are hormones, thyroid, gut health, food sensitivity, peptides, and micronutrients. Her practice also has a health coach and a nurse practitioner.
Michelle wanted an EHR solution to manage her practice. She had leveraged Practice Better in the past, but it lacked e-prescribing and the ability to add allergies and medication information to a patient's chart.
“I wanted something that had everything,” explains Michelle. “Dr. Deborah Matthews based in Charlotte recommended Cerbo to me.”
After evaluating Cerbo, she selected it for the patient portal, integration with labs, and the email communication features.
“The implementation process was great. The team did an awesome job getting me set up with Cerbo. The support team is always very responsive and helpful.
I love the integration with Rupa and Precision Analytical. It has saved me a lot of time. The e-scribing is a great feature. In addition, the integration with supplements and medications is very helpful. The templates and notes features are great."
Patients have responded with positive feedback on the patient portal and the ability to message the practice.
“Cerbo is a great all inclusive EHR. It is very easy on the eyes and I like the colors. The functionality is strong, including the easy ability to create charts and do charge for certain things.”
