Dr. Shauna L. Guthrie, MD, MPH, FAAFP is a Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine Physician based in Henderson, NC. She grew up in rural areas of Kansas and Missouri and knows the challenges these regions face because patients don’t have access to insurance and fear the cost of going to the doctor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology/Genetics from The University of Kansas, attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and did her residencies at the NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency and Dartmouth Hitchcock Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency.
Dr. Guthrie founded her practice in March 2021. She currently has 100 patients. In addition to her work at her clinic, she is the Medical Director and Chief Medical officer at a local hospital.
“I have worked with a wide variety of EHR’s and have always been frustrated by the lack of functionality and the customer support quality,” explains Dr. Guthrie. “I knew I needed an EHR to run my practice and spent a lot of time researching the different options. It was important to me to have a patient portal since I am serving my patients remotely.”

The customer support experience has been phenomenal. They get back to me quickly, take the time to understand the issues and fix them. They have been a pleasure to work with.”
Today, Dr. Guthrie uses Cerbo’s scheduler and customizes the appointment reminders. Patients like the access to the patient portal and most use the portal to schedule appointments themselves.
“Cerbo allowed me to open my clinic and begin using the product right away to better manage my practice,” confirms Dr. Guthrie. “There has not been a time I have wished I had picked a different EHR. I tell my colleagues to look at Cerbo because the product works great and they have excellent customer service. I have been very happy with Cerbo.”
